Vermont has been making IT work for small and medium businesses since 1997. Technology has changed massively since we first started. As it has become an increasingly important part of our businesses, it has also become more and more complex.

Just as the systems we recommend and install for our customers have changed, so have the methods we use to give the best possible level of IT support and management.

However what hasn’t changed is our determination to give businesses like yours the service they need. And we believe our approach to delivering this service is what makes us unique. The Team

Oliver Mackley

Oliver learnt leadership in the Royal Navy and IT at IBM. He learnt about the needs of smaller organisations building a managed services business in the SME market. In 2009 he finally let his natural entrepreneurship loose by taking the opportunity to lead Vermont into a new future.

Chris Ward

At IBM Chris discovered that large organisations needed more from IT suppliers than they were getting. Most of all, they needed great customer service, not just clever technology. He spent 6 years there learning how to deliver this. Subsequently working in the SME market he discovered that the smaller organisations still could not get great service from IT suppliers.

Chris and Oliver’s shared vision is to give small and medium businessess in Hampshire, Dorset, West Sussex and surrounding areas exactly what they need: great customer service AND great technology to meet their business needs.

Support Desk

Our support desk team is permanently staffed by trained and experienced engineers – between them they have over 16 years working in IT support. Our team is a perfect blend – large enough to mean we can cope with your calls; small enough to retain a personal feel. We are a professional business, but we are not a call centre. Our guys get to know you, your business, your staff and your IT so we can serve you in the most effective ways.

Professional Services

Our professional services team comprises over 20 years of IT experience. The blend of skills and experience we bring means we know what really works when solving business challenges using technology. Whether it is installing a PC or building a complete new infrastructure, our skills and experience will get you up and running in no time at all.

IT Service Manager

Talented people from across our organisation also take on a role of an IT Service Manager. They look after the overall service we deliver to particular customers. Because it is not a full time role, the cross pollination of combining roles brings clear advantages. The people managing the service for you, spotting trends and making recommendations are also the people interacting with your staff and system on a day-to-day basis.
