Eastleigh Based Insurance Broker Increases Productivity and Reduces Risk of Data Loss Whilst Simultaneously Making Computer Problems a Thing of the Past

Tom Noyce started the business in 2003 after almost 30 years working in other Insurance businesses and organisations. It is his hands on approach as a broker that has led to his company’s success. Having ‘walked the talk’ he is able to provide with the help of his 2 co directors Ann Reed & Lyn Noyce, exceptional support for his team of account executives and he is able to coach them when challenging situations and problems arise. 2009 – Tough times for some

Noyce’s previous network supplier had struggled throughout the recession in 2009 and provided a reactive service rather than the proactive approach offered by Vermont. Tom had met Oliver and Chris at a networking group, ConnectSouth and at the start of 2010 Noyce decided to call Vermont Systems for assistance to see what could be done.

Noyce Had A Free Audit

Vermont carried out a free system audit and found a number of problems. The network was not centrally managed or monitored; the main servers were running poorly and were dangerously close to failure which would mean potentially a large data loss. In addition productivity was suffering due to a number of other issues including the speed of the system.

To solve these problems Vermont Systems recommended a number of technical improvements including adding extra server hard drives and other enhancements. Whilst small changes to their system, it has meant that it is no longer vulnerable to total data loss and the system performs as it should do.

Understanding Their Business

“We wanted a company that not only understood our business, but one that would also be easy to work with on a daily basis. We don’t have an IT staff here so I was going to be the liaison – and I’m not a computer person.” Says Tom. “When we deal with our clients as an Insurance Broker, we wish to be viewed as their ‘Insurance Department’. We chose Vermont Systems for the same reasons; by offering their services as our ‘IT department’. Not only that Vermont clearly stood out from the competition, they where well recommended through our network and had excellent credentials with other multiple client references.
