Hardware Protection

System Support

If you already have in-house IT support, seriously consider an external support contract as backup
If you don't have in-house IT support, an external support contract is essential.
If you have problems with your PC, always reboot before phoning for support.
If you have system-wide problems then get someone who knows what they are doing to restart the server. Nine times out of ten it will fix the problem.
Always shut down properly.  Never use the off button or switch off at the mains!
Before phoning for support, have ready a clear description of the problem and note down any error messages or codes.
Don't dabble! If in doubt, consult someone who knows what they are doing
