Job Title: Cloud and Managed IT Service Technician - Level 2

Salary: £23,000 - £29,000 dependent on skills and experience

Location: Chandlers Ford, Hampshire

Vermont Systems are looking for a Level 2 Support Technician to join their team in Chandlers Ford. The Level 2 Support Technician will provide IT Support across on-site, hosted and cloud platforms for Vermont’s clients. About the Level 2 Support Technician Role

As a Level 2 Support Technician you would predominately be providing remote support on 2nd and some 3rd line issues in a mixture of desktop, server, cloud, hosted and networking environments.

The ideal candidate for this Level 2 Support Technician will have around 2-3 years of experience working in a support desk environment. You will have good ticket logging and time recording discipline, and be used to working to pre-defined SLA’s. Professional Qualifications are desirable but no replacement for good experience.

Level 2 Support Technician Requirements

You will have experience of:

  • Server 2008 / 2012
  • Exchange / Active Directory
  • Networking (including Draytek devices)
  • Virtualisation within Hyper-V
  • Windows 7 / 8 / 10 and common office applications
  • A range of backup systems
  • Working with 3rd party Vendors
  • Office 365
  • Hosted exchange and Hosted mail filters.
  • Mac OS and standard applications
  • Working as part of a team to deliver good service to end users

Knowledge of the following products will be beneficial:

  • ESET and Sophos enterprise AV
  • Citrix Xenapp
  • OSX server
  • Cyberoam Firewalls
  • CISCO routers, switches and firewalls
  • DFS

There will potentially be the requirement to work at a client’s offices so a full UK driving license will be highly beneficial.
